Katrina graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a bachelor's in psychology in 2016 and her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2023 from a CACREP-accredited graduate program at St. Bonaventure University. Katrina’s interest in relational theory and family dynamics began early in life and she gravitated towards coursework and careers that involved the application of attachment principles. While completing her undergraduate studies, she provided professional nanny care to a couple dozen families and immersed herself in evaluating factors that led to family resilience and harmony. Katrina took time off after undergraduate schooling to grow her understanding of childhood developmental needs and professional parenting consultation, returning to the academic setting a few years later to pursue her master’s degree.  During graduate schooling Katrina pursued further childcare certifications and trainings and opened a childcare business that centers on social-emotional learning and coregulation.  As her graduate schooling came to a close she interned at CrossRoads Counseling Center for a year where she became passionate about serving the Janesville community.

Katrina provides mental health therapy and enjoys working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She strongly believes in community healing and in the importance of clientele’s relational experience.  Counseling is enjoyable to her for its challenges and rewards, and she loves the chance to use her creativity and genuine care for others to promote healing. She promotes emotional expression, boundary development, and authentic identity expression as powerful wellness modalities. She believes in her clients’ inherent strengths and strives to understand her clients’ emotional realities as a conduit for change.  Trauma, parenting, self-empowerment, communication, and esteem-building are some of the many areas of focus Katrina thrives within.  Outside of the therapy setting, Katrina serves her community as a fitness professional with an emphasis on healing, joyful exercise and mindful movement.
