Outpatient Mental Health Therapist
Clinic Location: Janesville
Amber received her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, where she completed her practicum and internship training. She provides outpatient therapy at Crossroads Counseling Center and works with adolescents and adults (all ages) navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship concerns.
Amber takes a collaborative, strengths-based approach to therapy, drawing from Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Gestalt Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, and trauma-informed practices using The Comprehensive Resource Model. She values creating a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, develop coping strategies, and move toward healing and growth.
Outside of the counseling room, Amber enjoys creative hobbies such as painting, comedy studies, and cross-stitching, finding that art allows her to recharge and express herself in meaningful ways. She is inspired by the resilience of those she works with and believes that every person has an inner capacity for growth and healing.
