Alyssa earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2015 and a Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Concordia University in 2019. Alyssa started at Crossroads Counseling Center as an intern in January 2019 and joined staff immediately concluding her internship and graduation. Alyssa mainly does outpatient therapy, yet she assists with the Adolescent Day Treatment Program, insurance authorizations, and marketing.

Alyssa has experience providing individual, group, and family counseling to kids, adolescents, and adults. Alyssa is willing to see clients that are 5 years of age and older. Alyssa is passionate about helping others through anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-esteem issues, traumatic events, family dynamics, and more. Alyssa uses CBT, DBT, and client-centered approaches. Alyssa desires all humans to feel known and seen and believes everyone deserves to share their stories with integrity. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, being active, and reading.

Specialties/Certifications: Alyssa is most experienced in mood management, trauma informed counseling, & grief counseling. Alyssa is not a licensed Christian counselor, however, she is passionate about integrating faith and spirituality with mental health and therapeutic techniques.
