Allison received both her Masters of Social Work and Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. While completing her master’s program, Allison also worked as a Care Coordinator at Journey Mental Health Center and assisted families connect to resources in the area and communicated with providers in children’s lives. Throughout Allison’s therapeutic experience, she has provided group psychotherapy for adolescent survivors of trauma, children who struggle with school attendance and performance concerns, those who struggle with symptoms of anxiety and depression, assist families with resolving conflict, and individuals with substance use concerns. Along with individual therapy, Allison is also one of the therapists in Crossroad’s morning adolescent day treatment program. Allison tends to use a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialetic Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-informed care, Narrative therapy and psychoeducation when working with individuals. Allison is open, warm, and compassionate and she hopes to provide clients a space to be themselves and help them discover what they need to feel supported and confident in their own life. In Allison’s free time, she likes to spend time with her friends and family, hike, enjoy nature and watch TV drama series.
